I work with adults (18+) struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, or loss.
These are very broad terms, and your reasons for seeking help are unique to you. You may nonetheless identify with one or more of the following:
- low self-worth, shame, guilt
- people-pleasing, resentment
- perfectionism, self-criticism
- social anxiety, performativeness
- aloneness, disconnection, falseness
- disappointment, anger, rage
- low mood, despair, suicidal thoughts
- sense of abandonment or rejection
- avoidance of intimacy or emotion
- chaotic patterns, self sabotage
- ageing, turning 30, 40, 50…
- loss of potential, hope, or gratitude
- bereavement, grief, loss of love
These are recurring themes, and the list is not exhaustive. You bring to therapy whatever it is you need to, and it certainly doesn’t need to have a label.
Often, the issue that initially motivates you to start therapy is itself a symptom of something deeper that has not yet been fully named. The process of therapy can involve the exploration of this underlying cause, as well as addressing its day-to-day impact.
